No need to uninstall/reinstall every desktop!

When the new server is ready to be cut over to edit the OldServer\Install and Update\etrack.exe.config file and change the following

<Path> **ENTER NEW SERVER PATH** for eTrack base directory</Path>
<UpdateExec>**NEW SERVER PATH**\Install and Update\update.exe</UpdateExec>
<UpdateIni>**NEW SERVER PATH**\Install and Update\eTrack.exe.config</UpdateIni>
<eTrackVersion>INCREMENT VERSION</eTrackVersion>
</Server>

The only portion of client setup which references the OLD Server location are these config entries. 4.1 of eTrack makes NO use of Windows Registry or other hidden config items. By incrementing the eTrackVersion the clients will update form old server (copying etrack.exe.config modified to point to new server). Once update completes clients will have the modified exe.config file and next time they run will reference the New Server – important for New Server “Install and Update” to be in sync with old server.
